I have been an educator for fourteen years. During that time I have planned for and delivered instruction, conferenced with students about their progress, provided parents with ongoing information about their child's progress through meetings and home/school communication.
As a teacher, I provided leadership for my school by chairing the Instruction Committee where I set agendas, led meetings, organized committee work in gathering and analyzing data regarding current instructional practices and used the Georgia School Improvement Guide to make strategic action plans for improvements in instructional practice.
I was paid to teach a week-long, seven hour per day course in technology for twenty-five teachers for recertification. I planned and implemented instructional activiities, prepared the computer lab environment, provided immediate feedback and remediation.
ABOUT
During my years as an educator I have been an instructor, a guide, a mentor, a coach, and a facilitator to promote the enjoyment, excitement, and success of all of my students, young or older.
I believe that students learn best when they have guided autonomy to make choices and learn in the manner that is best for them. Self-directed learning improves engagement and motivation and is tailored to meet the needs of every learner and learning style.
